Youth

Remember what it was like to be a teenager - all of the peer pressure, changes in the voice and body, trying to find your identity, and many, many first's?  We do!  And we know it's not easy for youth today and often times for the rest of the family. First Baptist’s youth ministry is all about making this season of life as exciting, safe and godly as possible.

The youth ministry’s vision statement is: to CONNECT Heaven to earth for any youth seeking Christ and willing to grow in a Christian community.

Our youth (6th-12th graders) know one another well, enjoy being together, and know how to 'get down & dirty' in their service to God. 

The youth group meets on Sunday evenings at 5:30 pm. And they are always actively looking to welcome new faces.  They have their own leadership team called “the CORE” - giving our youth chances to lead while they learn.  They plan many of their own activities, such as Fall and Spring Retreats, mission trips, fundraisers, Band Nites, and social events.  

At FBC, our youth are full participants in church life. 1 Timothy 4:12 says, "Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity."

Regardless of age, we are raising up and equipping a new generation of leaders who are changing the world as you know it.
