Mission Trips
Every summer, our youth group gives up a week of our summer to travel to areas around the country to help build and repair homes for the underprivileged. No experience is needed, as projects can vary from painting to carpentry. Recent mission trips have included Tennessee, Mississippi, and Keansburg, NJ.

Fundraisers

Tuscarora
Twice a year our youth group serves food at the Tuscarora Inn and Conference Center, serving their fellow Christians while raising money for the youth group. (Participation is limited to youth 14+ due to labor laws)

Evergreen sale
Right before the holiday season, our youth group sells evergreens to family, friends, and fellow church members in order to raise money for the annual mission trip.

30 Hour Famine
The 30 Hour Famine is a program run by World Vision that has youth give up 30 hours of their time, energy, and, most importantly, food. It is an opportunity for youth to make a difference for world hunger by having people sponsor them to give up food for 30 hours and learn more about the fight against world hunger. In the year 2007 alone, our youth group raised $11,743 for world hunger!

Food Banks/Bridges
During either the 30 Hour Famine or our Youth in Action week, we take the opportunity to serve the homeless and poor through the Hillside Food Bank or through the Newark Bridges Program.
