Singles
A well-established Singles Group for those widowed, divorced, or never married meets at the First Baptist Church each Sunday at 9:00 am in the lower level Fellowship Hall. It's not group therapy, but a discussion group that deals with singles' issues, fosters friendships and allows a sharing of experiences. Other activities include winter movies, picnics, and holiday get-togethers. Coffee, cake, and bagels are served, and a $2.00 donation is requested. Monthly groups
Grub with the Guys (a Men's Breakfast Group), Women's Book Club, Women's Story-Writing Group, and a Pray for Peace group. See calendar for details or call First Baptist at 908-233-2278.
Young Adults at First Baptist have an informal "college and career" fellowship that goes out together after Saturday Evening or Sunday Morning Worship. Visit some Sunday morning (10:15 am worship or 2nd-4th Saturday (5:00 pm), and ask for Michael Weaver.
Opportunities to Serve Others abound at First Baptist: collections, delivering food to the homeless in Manhattan, serving at a soup kitchen, and more. Check the calendar or Messenger (monthly newsletter) for current projects.
Adult Bible Study, Tuesdays 7:15-8:30 pm. Led by our Minister of Adult Education, this group explores a book of the Bible chapter-by-chapter. No prior Biblical knowledge is needed and no one will be asked to read or answer questions unless they volunteer.
